Tour Itinerary
Sunday – From your taxi pick-up you join the coach, and we head for Yorkshire and our hotel for the next 4 nights. Tea and coffee on arrival. Comfort stops on route.
Monday – A full day guided excursion through the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the pleasant market town of Appleby. From here we board the famous Settle to Carlisle railway for the journey to Settle for more wonderful dales scenery. Re-joining our coach for a guided tour through the countryside back to the hotel. Time to relax before dinner. (Please note this is not a steam train)
Tuesday – Today we enjoy a return steam train journey to Bolton Abbey. We re-join the coach after this nostalgic trip for the short journey to Skipton for some free time for a spot of lunch. This afternoon we take you on a relaxing canal cruise with hilarious commentary before returning to the hotel.
Wednesday – Today we are taking you to the wonderful City of York. We first visit the famous ‘York Railway Museum’ immerse yourself in the home of iconic locomotives and an unrivalled collection of engineering brilliance! This afternoon we will enjoy a leisurely cruise on the river Ouse through the City of York, the same river that brought the Vikings to this famous city with live commentary from the local skipper.
Thursday – After a delicious full English breakfast we head back to Wiltshire and our waiting taxis after a fascinating tour of the Yorkshire Dales.
