We finish the morning in the farm kitchen for a nice cuppa and some homemade baking! We continue the day with a visit to Castle Kennedy gardens, one of Scotland’s hidden treasures and home to a historic and impressive collection of Rhododendrons. Set amongst the ruins of Castle Kennedy and a beautiful lily pond in the 75 acres, explore these beautiful grounds at leisure before we return to our hotel to relax before this evening’s dinner.

The hotel has beautiful gardens and two cosy lounges for relaxation if you wish. We have included tea, coffee and scones this afternoon in the hotel bar.

Thursday – This morning we head to Culzean Castle on the west coast of Scotland in South Ayrshire. Former home of Clan Kennedy but now owned by the Scottish National Trust, was designed by Robert Adam in the late 18th century and is filled with treasures that tell the stories of the people who lived there, as well as a fine collection of paintings, furniture and a magnificent oval staircase. This afternoon we visit Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, located in Alloway, the village in which Burns was born. See the worlds most important collection of Burns artefacts and his famous poetry and songs that are loved the world over, along with the humble cottage where he was born and raised.
