Join us to enjoy a range of excursions from Warwick castle to a lunchtime Stratford cruise with a 2-course lunch, a steam train to Cheltenham and visits to Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, and Cirencester. Staying in a 4* hotel set in 17 acres of beautiful grounds just outside Kenilworth, treat yourself to this 5-day tour in luxury accommodation amongst spectacular scenery.

Tour Itinerary

 

Monday – Leaving Wiltshire, we head to Warwickshire via a lunch stop in the Gloucester market town of Cirencester. Arriving at our charming hotel mid-afternoon for an opportunity to relax before dinner or to make use of the hotel’s leisure facilities.          

 

Tuesday – Today we are visiting the medieval Warwick Castle built by William the Conqueror in 1068 we will be immersing ourselves in over 1,100 years of jaw dropping history. We are including a tour of the dungeons and a birds of prey show amongst many other attractions at this castle that has played a prominent role for over 11 centuries. A truly fascinating day of entertainment for all ages.

 

Wednesday Today we visit the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’ the beautiful village of Broadway. A large village on the Worcester border, picturesque in all seasons. Free time this morning to wander the shops, galleries, and tearooms before we enjoy an hour-long train ride on the Gloucester Warwickshire Heritage railway up to Cheltenham. Sometimes referred to as ‘the garden town of England’ this charming Gloucestershire town, famous for horse racing, and claiming to be the most complete regency town in Britain.  An opportunity for lunch here and to explore at leisure.

 

Thursday – A day in Stratford-upon-Avon. Best known as Shakespeare’s birthplace on the banks of the river Avon and boasting to be one of the most important tourist destinations in the UK. Enjoy a taste of Olde England, steeped in history, set in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. We are including a 1½ hour cruise of the river Avon with a 2-course hot lunch on board for you to enjoy views of the town from the river whilst enjoying a delicious lunch. We return to the hotel mid-afternoon for an opportunity to relax in our beautiful hotel or you may wish to enjoy a dip in the indoor swimming pool!

 

Friday – After a leisurely breakfast we leave the hotel and continue to the Cotswold town of ‘Stow-on-the-Wold’, a historical wool town known for its market square, antique shops, pubs, and inns. After a lunch stop here, we head back to Wiltshire after a memorable break in the Cotswolds.
