Lake Molveno in the Dramatic Italian Dolomites

Join us to explore this stunning region which includes a day in Lake Garda with a boat trip, and the castles train from Mezzolombardo to Caldes for a unique view of the picture-perfect scenery.

 

Tour Itinerary

           

Monday – Our luxury coach will depart this morning, and head to Folkestone where we will catch the Eurotunnel train to Calais, from there we make our way to our overnight hotel in Saarbrucken for our evening meal with comfort stops on route.

 

Tuesday – We depart Saarbrucken after breakfast and begin our journey to Italy crossing Germany, over the Bavarian Alps to Innsbruck and on to Brenner before crossing the Italian border. We continue to our hotel in Lake Molveno in the Italian Dolomites to a welcome drink while our luggage is taken up to our rooms before tonight’s dinner.

 

Wednesday – A free day to relax and enjoy your location. We have included a local Dolomiti Card for each guest which includes free use of local public transport and reduced rates for local attractions. This afternoon why not join us in the hotel for complimentary tea and homemade biscuits!

                       

Thursday – Today is Market day in Trento. The historical streets around the cathedral are well worth the visit, and on Thursday host a fabulous market. After lunch we travel the short distance to Mezzolombardo to catch the special ‘Castles train’ to Caldes for some great scenery! Back to the hotel to relax before dinner.        

 

Friday – A whole day on Lake Garda today! We begin with a morning in Riva-de-Garda followed by a boat trip over to the resort of Limone for lunch. We return back to Riva for a wine tasting visit before returning to our hotel late afternoon.

 

Saturday – Today we travel to beautiful Bolzano in the South Tyrol, or Alto Adige, a province in Northeast Italy. Enjoy the cathedral, pretty piazzas, and perhaps visit the museum, which is home to 5,300-year-old body of ‘Otzi the Iceman’ found in 1991 in the local mountains. Back to the hotel mid-afternoon for tea and biscuits at our hotel.

 

Sunday – Your second free day to enjoy the hotel facilities and another chance to us your Dolomiti Cards for local public transport if you wish.

 

Monday – Sadly we say goodbye to Italy and make our way back to Saarbrucken for our overnight stop.

 

Tuesday – We leave Saarbrucken and make our way back up to Calais and our Eurotunnel crossing, once back in the UK we head to Wiltshire and our waiting taxis early evening after a memorable holiday.
