Join us at this festive time of the year on this five-day tour in the county of Kent. We are including 2 iconic castles, beautifully dressed for Christmas at this festive time. With a full Christmas lunch at Hever castle amongst the decorated trees and Christmas lights, Leeds castle also decorated for Christmas, the excitement of Canterbury Christmas market and visits to Winchester and Guildford cathedrals on route, all while based in a 4* hotel in Chatham.

Tour Itinerary

 

Sunday – We leave Wiltshire and continue towards Kent via Guildford and its cathedral. Welcome tea and coffee at our hotel while your cases are taken to your rooms. Time to settle in before dinner.

 

Monday – We begin our day with a visit to the small city of Rochester. It’s amazing selection of independent shops offering that special gift idea, ideal for Christmas shopping. We continue our day with a highlight in the tour and our visit to the magnificent Leeds castle. Nestled in the heart of Kent, this glamorous and historical castle is transformed into a winter wonderland with enchanting lights, decorations and its very own Christmas stalls and fairground rides bringing the magic of Christmas to us all! A chance for lunch from the street food vendors before you explore the inside of this beautiful castle. 

 

Tuesday – A morning coffee stop at nearby Chatham town centre, before we spend the rest of the day at the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, “Hever Castle”. You’ll enjoy another amazing castle experience along with a full Christmas lunch with all the trimmings! As the sun goes down, the festivities continue within the grounds with decorated Christmas trees, adorned with fairy lights and the whole castle beautifully lit for a truly magical atmosphere.

 

Wednesday – A morning visit to Maidstone before we continue to Canterbury and an opportunity to enjoy the traditional Christmas market in this medieval town with wooden huts dotted throughout the city centre all around the cathedral. Back to the hotel mid-afternoon to relax or you may wish to use the hotel’s superb leisure facilities including a superb indoor swimming pool.

 

Thursday – After a leisurely breakfast, we leave Kent and head home via Winchester where their Christmas market also takes place around the Cathedral. A chance for lunch before we continue home to your waiting taxis.
