Based in the fantastic 4* Metropole Hotel in Mid-Wales, join us to celebrate the end of 2024 and to welcome 2025. Staying in Llandrindod Wells, bordered by two stunning national parks of the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia, our new year tour is packed with good food, live entertainment, excursions and even a 2-course hot lunch on the way home, all in all a fabulous way to end the year!

 

Tour Itinerary

 

Monday – Our luxury coach will take us to our hotel in Mid-Wales and welcomes us with tea, coffee, and Welsh cakes while your cases are taken up to your rooms. Plenty of time to settle in before tonight’s dinner.

 

Tuesday ‘New Year’s Eve’ – After a relaxing Welsh breakfast we are taking you to the Elan Valley Estate in Powys which sprawls over 72 square miles and is one of the most picturesque spots in Wales. Home to 28 farms, the main function of the estate is to collect and provide a clean water supply to areas of Wales and the City of Birmingham. Owned by Dwr Cymru Welsh water, we are going to enjoy a guided tour by coach to see the biggest draw to Elan Valley, the ‘5 amazing dams’ constructed for the reservoirs throughout the valley. We continue our tour with a visit inside the main dam and then you may enjoy the visitors centre and lunch in the café if you wish. Back to the hotel mid-afternoon to relax before this evening’s pre-dinner drink in the lounge (included) followed by a 5-course New Years Gala dinner. Dancing until midnight and a glass of champagne to toast in 2025.

 

Wednesday ‘New Year’s Day’ – Breakfast/brunch is served after last night’s excitement, then for those who wish to hit the New Year sales, the coach will take us to Hereford for some retail therapy. You may just wish to relax in the hotel and use the hotel’s indoor pool, jacuzzi, and steam room. The afternoon we have arranged a cream tea for you all in the lounge. Dinner later this evening followed by more live entertainment.

 

Thursday – A relaxed breakfast today before we begin our journey home. We have included a 2-course hot lunch in a restaurant before returning to Wiltshire, another nice little treat before you join your taxis after a memorable New Year break, Happy New Year!
