Monday – Our Luxury coach departs this morning and heads to Folkestone for our Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. From there we continue to Germany for our overnight hotel in time for dinner. Comfort stops on route.

Tuesday – After a good night’s rest, we continue our journey via the Black Forest and Switzerland to Feldkirch in Austria for a 6-night stay. Welcome drinks on arrival and porterage.

Wednesday – Today we board a local bus for a guided tour of historic Feldkirch. We are including a visit to Schattenburg castle museum before returning to our hotel mid-afternoon to relax.

Thursday – A full day today as we cross the border into Switzerland and visit Lake Constance and join a short mountain railway from Rheineck to Walzenhausen. The coach will be waiting to take us on to Appenzell, a beautiful town in northeastern Switzerland at the foot of the Alpstein mountains, famous for its painted houses. A break for lunch here before we continue on another train for a 1.3/4 hour scenic journey to Altstetten. Our final visit today will be to Hohenems for a chocolate tasting at the traditional Fenkart Schlosskaffee.

Friday – Today we visit the old city of Constance, we cross the lake on the ferry to Meersburg and then visit the beautiful Salem castle. Visit its gothic monastery church, its lovely interior, and gardens, all highly significant and a popular tourist destination. Free time for lunch before we continue our day with some wine tasting in Hagnau, returning to the hotel late afternoon.

Saturday – A full day today in Bregenzerwald beginning with a visit to a traditional cheesemaker with tasting too of course! We then take the Wälderbähnle railway for a steam journey from Bezau to Schwarzenberg before transversing the breathtaking Bodelpass.

Sunday – A free day for you today to enjoy Feldkirch or relax in the hotel.

Monday – Time to Leave Austria and return to Germany for our overnight hotel. Comfort stops on route.

Tuesday – We leave Germany and head for Calais and our Eurotunnel crossing. Once back in the UK we continue to Wiltshire and our waiting taxis after a memorable Alpine Adventure.
