The coast and countryside offer areas of outstanding beauty from the sweeping golden beaches of Great Yarmouth to the beautiful broads. Based on the golden sands of Great Yarmouth this tour is full of fascinating excursions, an opportunity to enjoy the unspoilt charm of Norfolk.

 

Tour Itinerary

 

Wednesday – Our luxury coach departs this morning as we head up country to Great Yarmouth sea-front our base for the next 5 nights. Comfort stops on route.         

 

Thursday – Today we are visiting Bressingham steam and gardens with 6 stunning gardens, museum, and train rides. Your exclusive ticket includes entry to the whole site including unlimited train rides around the fabulous gardens and woodlands on over 4 miles of narrow-gauge steam lines. Also enjoy a nostalgic ride on the Gallopers carousel. The site is also home to the ‘Dads Army’ exhibition. A whole day at this unique attraction for you to explore at leisure and an opportunity to enjoy the antique steam vehicles, steam rollers and of course the award-winning landscaped gardens.

 

Friday – Today we visit the sea-side town of Cromer, famous for its fresh crab! We continue our day with a visit to the hillside shire horse sanctuary to meet the gentle giant shire horses. This sanctuary is also an animal rescue centre for cows, ponies, donkeys, sheep, dogs, goats, and pigs! We head back to the hotel mid-afternoon for free time before tonight’s evening meal.

 

Saturday – A free day for you today to enjoy Gt Yarmouth, the beach (a stone’s throw from the hotel). You may wish to visit the sea life aquarium, the model village or simply enjoy an ice cream along the prom!

 

Sunday – Our day starts with a visit to the Bure Valley Railway and a 45-minute journey by steam train through the picturesque Norfolk countryside to Wroxham. On arrival, we disembark and join the coach to Wroxham Bridge, free time in the village of Wroxham, an opportunity to enjoy lunch and explore the collection of ‘Roy’s of Wroxham shops’! After lunch we enjoy a 90-minute circular cruise of the Norfolk Broads. Back to the hotel late afternoon.

 

Monday – Following a full English breakfast, we leave the coast and journey back down to Wiltshire where your taxis will be waiting to take you safely home after a memorable break in Norfolk.
