Friday After breakfast we continue our journey through Germany to Dresden and our hotel for the next 6 nights. Dinner this evening after plenty of time to settle in.
Saturday This morning we enjoy a step-on guide of this beautiful city for an informative tour by coach. This afternoon is free for you to explore at leisure.
Sunday Today we will take a relaxing cruise from Dresden to Pillnitz to experience Dresden from a different angle on the river Elbe. Pillnitz is most famous for its baroque palace and park. Following our cruise, we continue our day with a visit to this superb palace and park which was once the summer residence of Saxon royals. Plenty of time to explore at leisure this beautiful building and immaculate gardens.
Monday This morning we travel to Radebeul and join the Radeburg railway, a narrow-gauge steam hauled railway on the outskirts of Dresden, which will take us through the Saxony countryside. You will then have free time in Radebeul for lunch before a mid-afternoon return to the hotel to relax.
Thursday Time to leave Dresden and head for Dusseldorf and our overnight hotel. If time allows, there will be an opportunity to visit the impressive Möhne dam and reservoir, famous for Operation Chastise an attack on German dams carried out in May 1943 by royal air force no617 squadron The Dam Busters
Friday Today we head to Calais and our Eurotunnel crossing home after a memorable experience of beautiful Saxon Dresden.
Situated on the river Elba and in Dresdens historic old town district, this superb hotel also offers a swimming pool and large terrace over-looking the river.
