Nestled on the edge of the tranquil Lake Levico Terme is an authentic historic spa town of Trentino, Italy. The old town offers charming shopping streets and a long lakeside promenade, parks and gardens. One of Italy’s most pristine lakes, Levico is in the beautiful Sugana Valley close to Trento, Lake Garda and surrounded by the Italian Dolomites.

 

Tour Itinerary

 

Wednesday – Our luxury coach will depart this morning, and head to Folkstone where we will catch the Eurotunnel train to Calais, from there we make our way to our overnight hotel in Saarbrucken for our evening meal with comfort stops on route.

 

Thursday – We depart Saarbrucken after breakfast and begin our journey to Italy crossing Germany, over the Bavarian Alps to Innsbruck and on to Brenner before crossing the Italian border. We continue to our hotel in Levico Terme to a welcome drink while our luggage is taken up to our rooms before tonight’s dinner.

 

Friday – A free day for you to relax and enjoy Levico. Enjoy a lakeside walk in the parkland opposite the hotel that borders the lake, the historic streets of the old town or the leisure facilities at the hotel.

 

Saturday – A short hop to neighbouring Trento, the regional capital with its beautiful cathedral that stands proudly in the Piazza Duome next to the fountain of Neptune, in the heart of the city. With lots to offer, Trento boasts culture and history including numerous Roman remains and beautiful churches, not forgetting its castle, ‘Castello del Buonconsiglio’. With an array of individual shops and restaurants, enjoy exploring this fabulous city at you own pace.

 

Sunday – Today we visit the spa town of Merano in the heart of the south Tyrol on the southern side of the Alps. Due to its mild climate all year round the town boasts mediterranean gardens that sit below snow covered Alpine peaks, and a backdrop of mountains and meadows. The town offers plenty of shops, bars and cafes in flower lined promenades adorned with palm trees and bridges crossing the Passer river.

 

Monday – Today our excursion takes us along the gorge like ‘Val Sugana’ with wonderful views of the Brenta Dolomites. A land of enchanting medieval castles and the hidden gem of Bassano del Grappa in Italy’s Veneto region. This city is brimming with history, culture, art and stunning scenery and is famous for its 13^th century wooden bridge spanning the river Brenta. Explore this fortified city and enjoy the stylish shops, cafes, and restaurants at leisure. We will enjoy the regional ‘Grappa’ tasting after dinner this evening from the local distillery.

 

Tuesday – Today we travel to the shores of beautiful Lake Garda and the town of ‘Riva del Garda’! We have hired a private boat to take us to the lovely resort of ‘Limone’ for an opportunity to explore their local ‘Tuesday Market’ and enjoy lunch from one of the many restaurants that surround the lake. Our boat will return to take us back to Riva for some free time before the coach returns us to our hotel.

 

Wednesday – Your second free day to explore the local area and an opportunity to enjoy the hotels extensive leisure facilities if you wish.

 

Thursday – Sadly we say goodbye to Italy and make our way back to Saarbrucken for our overnight stop.

 

Friday – We leave Saarbrucken and make our way back up to Calais and our Eurotunnel crossing, once back in the UK we head to Wiltshire and our waiting taxis early evening after a memorable holiday.
