Join us for a super spring break in the ever-popular Babbacombe hotel our base to explore Devon in the Springtime.

Tour Itinerary

Monday – We leave Wiltshire this morning and head down to Devon and our hotel in Babbacombe. We will have a lunchtime stop in the lovely resort of Sidmouth before arriving at our hotel mid-afternoon. Tea and coffee on arrival while your cases are taken to your rooms. Time to settle in before tonight’s dinner and entertainment.

Tuesday – A scenic drive today as we head towards Dartmoor via the beautiful Buckfast Abbey, a Benedictine monastery at Buckfast founded in 1018. Free time to explore this Abbey church with its mixture of Romanesque and Gothic styles. We continue our day travelling amid the beautiful scenery of Dartmoor National park to the small village of Princetown where we’ll enjoy a delicious cream tea.

Wednesday – A free day to explore the Torbay area, with the fantastically entertaining Babbacombe show to look forward to this evening after dinner.

Thursday – A full day excursion by coach to begin with to Paignton where we will travel by steam train to Kingswear. We continue by crossing the river Dart by ferry to board a circular river cruise passing Kingswear and Dartmouth Castles, Britannia Royal Naval college and Greenway house, home to the late Agatha Christie. You’ll have some free time in Dartmouth to explore and have lunch before our return steam ride back to Paignton. A lovely day out before returning to the hotel to relax before tonight’s dinner and entertainment.

Friday – After breakfast we leave our hotel and travel the short distance to nearby Babbacombe model village famous for its miniature landscaped gardens and buildings, lending it to be branded as one of Europe’s premier model villages. We continue on our journey home after enjoying this attraction, arriving back in Wiltshire late afternoon after your lovely spring break on the English Riviera.
